I’m so glad you’re here!

My name is Mary McDonald. Three important things to know about me: I love a good 90’s rom-com, I find humor in a lot of situations, and I am constantly striving to grow in the best version of me I can be. 

I am a wife to “Sexiest Man Alive,” Bryce McDonald (not named by People Magazine but named by me) and a dog mom of two beautiful, poodle mixed dogs; Teetee and Kingsley. I’m originally from Oklahoma and moved to L.A. to live out my dreams: working in corporate America!! Just kidding, I do work in corporate America but my dreams encompass being a screenwriter and an actress. I know it’s cliche but “hey, why not me?” has been my attitude since day one. 

I started this blog as another creative outlet to share my personal experiences through writing. Ever since my parents gifted me a Lion King themed diary as a kid, writing has been one of my favorite ways to express my thoughts and ideas. Those entries were filled with inspirational ideas such as “Return of Jafar was a good movie” and many doodles of myself in my first communion dress. While I can’t promise that these blog posts will be as riveting as a Disney movie review from my childhood, I can promise that they will be meaningful.

My wish is that you find this to be a space where you can relax, read a good story, have a laugh, and walk away with some insight.
